
DCE was appointed to conduct a traffic impact study for Haii 1 Downtown Phase 1, Jazan City, KSA.
The primary purpose of a traffic impact assessment is to identify the impacts of the proposed development on the surrounding transportation network, and to determine appropriate measures to reduce these impacts, if any. The severity of the traffic impact depends on the size and characteristics of the proposed development as well as the design and operational characteristics of the surrounding transportation network.
The following is a brief description of the work scope and tasks required to carry out the TIA study:
- Analysis of existing conditions: summary of current conditions on the major streets and junctions surround the proposed development as well as the internal layout also.
- Impact analysis: determination of the traffic impact on the surrounding network due to the proposed development.
- Iterative improvement plan: summary of proposed measures to improve development traffic impact and any necessary improvements required on the surrounding network
