DCE were tasked by FDP to undertaked concept design and detailed design RSAs for 3 pedestrian bridges in Doha.
Ashghal, the Public Works Authority, intend to deliver pedestrian bridges at many locations throughout Doha as determined by the Qatar Pedestrian Crossings Master Plan (QPCMP). The RSAs will focus on the interaction between the bridge and existing/proposed road layout below, with a strong emphasis on NMU provision surrounding the bridge landing areas.
For the Pedestrian Bridge located on Al Istiqlal Street near West Bay Petrol Station, the bridge will provided pedestrian connectivity between the Residential Complex to the west of Al Istiqlal Street and many schools/parks/shops on the eastern side of Al Istiqlal Street.
For the Pedestrian Bridge located on Najma Street near Hamid Bin Khalifa Stadium, the bridge will provided pedestrian connectivity between the east and west side of Najma Street.
For the Pedestrian Bridge located on Al Furousiya Street near Aspire Park, the bridge will provided pedestrian connectivity between the Residential Complex to the west of Al Furousiya Street and Aspire Park.
