Road Safety Audit for North of Semaisma

DCE was appointed to carry out the Concept Design (Stage 1) and Preliminary Design (Stage 2) RSAs for North of Semaisma. The project extends over an approximate area of 2100 hectares (ha)The project area is situated between 3 interchanges on Al Khor Expressway: Semaimsa interchange IC-G to the south, Tenbek interchange IC-G1 in the middle and the Al Khor Interchange IC-H to the north. The land use is mainly residential but there are commercial avenues, mosques, government buildings, parks, schools etc. as well as a special use area for hotels, entertainment etc for the PEO beach front area. There are numerous signalised intersections and roundabouts within the project. The posted speed limit ranges from 50kph on the local/collector roads (with 3.3m lanes) to 80kph on the arterial roads (with 3.65m lanes).
