DCE was appointed to carry out the Construction Stage (Stage 3) RSA for Roads and Infrastructure in Southwest of Al Wukair.
The length of the Roads in the project is approximately 20km including road corridors of 20m, 40m and Sikka Alleyways. The roads are classified as per QHDM 2015.”
There are 9 roundabouts provided within the scheme.
There are 2 types of roads in the scheme:
Two-way single carriageways (local roads) with lane widths of 3.3m and posted speeds of 50kph. These roads have a 20m right of way.1-lane dual carriageways (with flush median) with lane widths of 3.3m and posted speeds of 50kph (collector roads). These roads have a 40m right of way.
The land use is largely residential with 3 commercial plots, 3 mosques, 4 open spaces and 14 government plots.
