DCE was appointed to conduct a traffic impact study for Woqod Roundabout, The Pearl City, Qatar. The study area comprises three closely spaced roundabouts forming a short corridor within a mixed-use urban environment. To the north, Junction 1 is a compact three-arm roundabout located on Street 180, featuring a two-way single carriageway to the north and two-lane dual carriageways to the west and south. High speeds are not expected in this area and these arms accommodate residential and school-related traffic, as well as vehicle movements exiting the adjacent Woqod facility. Approximately 40 metres south of Junction 1 lies Junction 2, a larger four-arm roundabout situated on Pearl Boulevard. All approaches are two-lane dual carriageways, with the east–west arms serving as the primary access route through the area, carrying high traffic volumes and operating under a posted speed limit of 80 km/h. Further south, Junction 3 is another three-arm roundabout (south arm is closed to traffic and therefore not part of this analysis), with two-way single carriageways on the east and west arms, and a two-lane dual carriageway on the north arm. Located 50 metres south of Junction 2, Junction 3 primarily serves residential traffic associated with Viva Bahriya.
