DCE was appointed to conduct a Traffic Impact Assessment for Construction of Junction South of Diplomatic Area in Wadi Al Banat.
This project consists of road works for the construction of a junction to the south of the diplomatic area in Wadi Al Banat. The contractor needs to install a temporary traffic diversion to create space for the workzones to complete the works.
There is one signalised intersection affected by this proposed diversion at the Junction between Wadi Al Banat Road and Al Kheesa Road. Wadi Al Banat Road is a dual carriageway with 3 lanes in each direction however the northern arm is not currently open to through traffic and Al Kheesa Road is a dual carriageway with 3 lanes in each direction.
The purpose of this report is to assess the levels of service achieved as a result of this temporary traffic diversion layout. This will be done by utilising traffic models to compare the levels of service for existing layout against the proposed temporary traffic diversion.
