DCE was appointed to conduct a Traffic Impact Assessment for Haii 6, Jazan, Kindom of Saudi Arabia.
The primary purpose of a traffic impact assessment is to identify the impacts of the proposed development on the surrounding transportation network, and to determine appropriate measures to mitigate these impacts, if any. The severity of the traffic impact depends on the size and characteristics of the proposed development as well as the design and operational characteristics of the surrounding transportation network.
The following is a brief description of the work scope and tasks required to carry out the TIA study:
Analysis of existing conditions: this is essentially a summary of current conditions on the major streets and junctions surrounding the proposed development as well as the internal layout also.
Impact analysis: determination of the traffic impact on the surrounding network due to the proposed development for opening year and horizon year.
Mitigation plan: summary of proposed measures to mitigate development traffic impact and any necessary improvements required on the surrounding network.
